Senior Front End Developer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer colleague in Budapest who will contribute in creating amazing experience for our clients as they advance their journey on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role involves daily collaboration with designers, backend engineers, and project managers.

You will be responsible for
- Making independent architectural decisions on frontend projects to ensure scalability and long-term maintainability.
- building and maintaining React/TypeScript web applications (Vite, TailwindCSS, Storybook) which delivers AI-powered assistants for our AEC/O customers, including conversational chat, file analysis, and AI image generation with tool integrations via MCP (Model Context Protocol).
- Shipping UI features with full i18n support and evolving our CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast, reliable, and automated deployments.
- driving features end-to-end: from requirements and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Contributing to tech stack guidance across the team, helping to shape the tools and best practices we use.
- mentoring mid-level and junior developers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
- providing effort estimates and breaking down complex work into clear deliverables.
- explaining technical trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You will need
- 4 - 5 years of experience with React (19.x), including hooks, component composition, and performance patterns (memoization, code-splitting).
- daily-driver proficiency in TypeScript (5.x).
- comfort with Modern CSS, specifically Tailwind CSS or utility-first approaches and responsive design.
- solid understanding of State Management (Zustand, Redux, or similar) and state boundaries.
- experience with Data Fetching tools like TanStack Query (caching strategies, optimistic updates).
- competence in Testing layers, whether unit testing (Vitest/Jest) or E2E (Playwright/Cypress).
- literacy in Vite and configuring modern build pipelines.
- strong Git/GitHub skills and an understanding of branching strategies and CI/CD.
- excellent communication skills in English and Hungarian.
It would be nice if you also had
- experience with Astro or Next.js for SSR/Static-site generation.
- knowledge of React Native for cross-platform mobile development.
- experience with component libraries like shadcn/ui or MUI.
- familiarity with data visualization (Recharts, Apache ECharts).
- experience with internationalization (i18next).
- Node.js skills for server-side scripting and lightweight APIs.
- a pro-active approach to AI-assisted development (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude).
- familiarity with GCP, Vercel, or Firebase Hosting.
